Amorphophallus: Titans of the Tuberous Aroids

Amorphophallus is a large genus of some 200 tropical and subtropical tuberous herbaceous plants in the Araceae family, native to Asia, Africa, Australia and various oceanic islands. Species in this genus, including the famed Titan arum (Amorphophallus titanum), are notable for their dramatic, often malodorous inflorescences and remarkable variation in tuber and leaf size.
