I'm an environmental horticulture student at an agriculture-focused college,
and one of the greenhouse instructors recommended alcohol as the dipping
agent. We use a 1:10 bleach-water solution for surface disinfect when
planting seeds and doing plantings from cuttings, and that includes
disinfecting our tools, as well.
