longwood gardenshi all,
i was recently at longwood gardens, which is always a delight to
visit. in the conservatory, there's one or two rooms with lots of
aroids, bromeliads and other shady tropical plants. particularly
impressive were Anth. superbiens, pendulifolium (huge!) and a large
warocqueanum. and Amorphophallus titanum that was over 6 ft tall.
has longwood ever bloomed theirs? also, several large
interesting Philodendron species. i'm wondering what other public
gardens have nice aroid collections that you would recommend visiting.
