The tel# you gave me is no longer
available and I do not know where Barry Findon is still. I hope that
Wyld Court can help with everything now.

Hi
there Ron,
Don't know if it might help but some years ago now,
Barry Findon of Anmore Exotics set up Wyld Court Rainforest in Hampstead
Norreys, near Newbury, in Berkshire, England. I haven't been for ages but I
believe it still operates very successfully as a commercial/educational
tourist attraction with large, well-landscaped glasshouses stuffed full of
magnificent aroids (and other things, including breeding groups of rare
marmosets). I have rather lost touch with him so all I have is the tel.
no: 01635 200221, though I'm sure by now the place has a website, email etc.
I
can imagine how awful it is to lose such a collection and hope you can manage
to track some or all of the plants.

Hi, Petra!
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORAY!
(Petra is a beautiful name like
Anastasia & similar emotive words!!).
THANK YOU! I am very humbled
that my long searches for Spathiphyllum and Marantaceae into the 80's did
some good and it is nice to be remembered for it. The
original collection of 10,000 plants in Meopham England was passed to ANMORE
EXOTICS over a decade ago but far from keeping it safe they went defunct
after paying me very very little for the results (.10,000 plants) of years
of work. It may be that the species were passed on to a third
party and if so the Collection may be virtually intact. I sent
duplicate plants all over the world but now with email it is very fast
to trace material.
I am privileged to have
this mighty bungalow with a magnificent Classical Music Studio on the
prime waterfront of Dunmannus Bay, West Cork Ireland with the main Durrus
Beach in front, no other residence. I develop the
nuclear Collection on this site this Year and then we will see where and
what misguided laser energies produce. Please, what is Tom's email
address? I wonder if he can lead me to nuclei of species.
My address is Studio Na Farraige (Studio of the Sea), Murreagh, Durrus,
Bantry, Co. Cork, Ireland 003532761040. What does Plant Delights
grow? What role do you have in the scheme of thingsYou have humbled me
with your appreciation by writing. Thank You! Have a
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONDERFUL March and on. If you know Spath
Sources, can you spare the time, no hurry as 80 plants have arrived before
time in the past two weeks, and I have yet to finalise culture set ups which
have to be immaculate.

Hello Ron...I worked with your lovely Spaths
way back when in my early years at MOBOT...it's always so nice to connect
a person to the plant...and I know I took photos, made herbarium vouchers,
etc. of those Spaths and you can email Tom Croat (hi Tom) if you want more
info on them...welcome back to aroids.
