A. titanum for Petiole Tissue

Thanks all for your comments and info on experiments.
I had one A. titanum that was beginning to blacken at the base of the
petiole while above this point the petiole was still in good condition.
One side of the leaf was beginning to yellow. To be certain that I was
not about to lose a tuber to a fungus, I dug it up and found a 1200 gm
tuber in quite good condition. Below the blackened section of petiole
was a short section still very green and firm. Two slices were cut each
about .5 cm thick. These are now on top of wet sphagnum moss in plastic bags.
If something favorable happens, you will be the first to hear about it.
