Now I want to try it on some other tuber forming New World taxa. Yes, I basically used the same technique, but I think I started them in just water, moving them to sphagnum moss when the first root appeared. I may have used bottom heat, but I do not recall. It also divided for me several times, and I was able to give away many plants. One winter the heat went out in my greenhouse, and that was it. I have used that method to propagate Amorphophallus, Sauromatum, Typhonium, Nephthytis, Arisaema, Gonatopus, Hapaline, Dracontium, and Ancomaenes. Ancomaenes can also be easily grown from large broken off roots. Happy days!
