We have contacted the staff at Jardín Botánico del Chocó-Jotaudó and they seem to be quite receptive to our visit as researchers. According to Luis and pretty much everything I have ever heard about, this is one of the most biologically impressive regions of the globe, as well as particularly rich in aroids and palms. Initial plans involve a 5-7 days stay at the botanical garden. After the Cali conference we would go together to Bogota for a day or two and leave for the Chocó. They expect us to present talks about our research, and Luis' idea os to even organize a 1-day workshop. Needless to say I would love to do some fieldwork in your company.
