Jared, I've been studying a highly magnified copy ofthe the photo you posted of "whitelockii" and it appears there may bepubescence (hair) on the petioles. In a few specimens the petioles appearterete (round) but in others some appear to be canaliculate (C shaped). Can you verify this? And if possible, closeup photos of the upper andlower surfaces of the blade as well as the roots and petioles would be ofinterest.
Thanks!

Dear All,
Please DON`T take my suggestion a ''final'' solution. I usually tryto stay out of these discussions on I.D.`ing store-bought plants, but this oneis interesting now that I have seen a photo. It is not a ''birdsnest" type, and is NOT in my opinion a pure species. The up-turnedposterior lobes of the leaves which create the impression of a''cup"" are NOT like A. fausto., which has a HUGE, almost flatcordate leaf, VERY 'hard-textured'. Steve will have photos on his site ofa pure A. faustomir.
I`d like to see a photo of an inflorescence on this (Jared`s) plant, as thebloom on a pure A. fausto. is large, and has a cup-shaped large spathe whichspreads over the spadix like a roof, and a very shortpeduncle/stem. Jared`s plant might exibit a differentspathe/peduncle which may offer hints as to the plant`s possibly mixedparentage.

The leaves are NOT glossy. They quickly turn coriaceous, it is fairly large (Iassume a bird's nest Anth.).
I will record more specific specs when I have the plant in front of me. This isturning out to be quite the challenge to ID.
