Dear Helmut,
that's a nice move that you want to take care of your compatriot and the
Austrian reputation in the aroid scene..... ;-)
Since I am not distrustful in the first line when I see such an offer in
the internet and learned from your compatriot in an private email that
he wants 6 to 8 Euro for a tuber, I guees that he is not deliberately
offering konjaks as titanum.
However I wondered, if he ever saw one of his "titanum" flowering and
compare this flower with the one on the picture he presents.
BTW, I noticed after my first inquiry to the aroid-L that the pictures
show a copyright mark (sarracenia.com), but I could not find the picture
on htis site: http://www.sarracenia.com/
Happy growing,
Bernhard.

Hi, Bernhard,
Of course this is a pretty embarassing performance of an Austrian
co-patriot.
So far I have not heard from him, but as an IAS member and producer of a
series of
rare aroids, I tried to contact this man, who obviously runs his
business just around the corner.
I offered him cooperation for further activities and to prevent mistakes
like that.
In the history of aroid research Austrians have done such great work
(Schott et alt.), so I am
strongly interested to catch up with this tradition.
Good Growing
