Dear Steve,
Aloha. I cannot help you with the specifics of this
Philodendron. I do have a request for you that will
aid all those who use your website.
My request to you is, when you are researching
Philodendron or Anthurium and you know the Subgenus
and Section or other classification; that you include
this information. I see that you often include
these...especially with Anthurium species. I realize
that it is often difficult to tease out this
information, but it will be helpful in the long run if
more of us familiarize ourselves with the various
Subgenera and Sections....especially if they have
easily distinguishable characteristics...ie.
Philodendron Subgenus Meconostigma or Anthurium
Section Pachyneurium. Such large Genera such as
Anthurium and Philodendron require a little more
taxonomic division for clarity. You may even want to
tackle the larger issue and explain the classification
divisions in a general Philodendron or Anthurium
text....illustrated with photos. Now that is a
project.
Aloha,
Leland
