Dear
Marek,
this plant is Tacca

I found a tuber of this
plant 2 years ago in Gambia.

aroid?
Hello all!
Today I got these photos to identify, but I think the
plant isn't a member of Araceae. What can you say about this?

Subject: Possibly unidentified aroid
Good day. We found this unusual plant growing in a pot at a nursery
in south Florida and the nursery owner, considering it a weed, gave it to
us. From its growth habit, we first considered it an aroid; however,
since the blooms are opening, we're not sure at all. For size reference,
the plant is pictured growing in a 1-gallon pot and there is approximately a
2-week span between the first pictures of the buds and then the buds
opening. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance and I
definitely appreciate whatever help you can give us.
Best regards,
Monica MacLeod
