Here in NY, the few species I grow (konjac, koratensis, bulbifer, henryi,
paeoniifolius) seem to thrive in full sun, but ACCLIMATING them to sun after
starting indoors is quite another story.
Amorph Blues indeed!!!

Even after moving them gradualy from shade to sun over a two week period
they sometimes burn.
