Caladium in brazil

From: Piabinha at aol.com on 2001.11.10 at 05:27:14(7798)
hi all,
i did not mention that i saw a Caladium growing on the coast, near rio, that was mostly green with central purple striping. at the time, i just assumed it was a cultivar that had escaped into the shady forest. now i'm wondering, was this possibly a natural species? i'm sorry i didn't take a pic... would anyone know what species this would be?

Faer Tsuh Yang,
What was the leaf shape, was it cordate, narrowly sagittate or sort of
lanceolate/tear-drop shaped??
Check Paul Resslar`s Caladium page (a link to it is on the MOBOT aroid site)
as it or something you can relate it to might be pictured there.
Cheers,
Julius
