Hello Ron...I worked with your lovely Spaths way
back when in my early years at MOBOT...it's always so nice to connect a person
to the plant...and I know I took photos, made herbarium vouchers, etc. of those
Spaths and you can email Tom Croat (hi Tom) if you want more info on
them...welcome back to aroids.

Hi
there Ron,

Don't
know if it might help but some years ago now, Barry Findon of Anmore Exotics set
up Wyld Court Rainforest in Hampstead Norreys, near Newbury, in Berkshire,
England. I haven't been for ages but I believe it still operates very
successfully as a commercial/educational tourist attraction with large,
well-landscaped glasshouses stuffed full of magnificent aroids (and other
things, including breeding groups of rare marmosets). I have rather lost touch
with him so all I have is the tel. no: 01635 200221, though I'm sure by now
the place has a website, email etc.

I can
imagine how awful it is to lose such a collection and hope you can manage to
track some or all of the plants.

Hi Deni!

Thanks a million for the
information. Lots of Aroid L members have so kindly written in the past 24
hours. Amazing and wonderfully. We are a very fortunate and caring
group. I am contacting Wyld Court to find out about these things and
I do so very much that the Collection is still intact and named. It would
be a priceless resource for everyone and make my task of establishing an even
more complete Collection much easier. I will write again in
due course. Can we exchange other contacts on the Spaths I need and the
genera you seek?

With very best
wishes

Ron
