	Following the IXth International Aroid Symposium in Kuching, some aroid friends from Florida, which included Tricia Frank, Scott Hyndman, Ron Weeks, and Reggie Whitehead, went on a unique trip to an extraordinary location in the heart of the Borneo rainforest, the Regency Pelagus Resort. Reggie had discovered the Pelagus Resort a few years before on a previous trip to Sarawak, and his stories of how wonderful Pelagus was convinced us that we had to make a visit.
