Krzystof Kozminski's Aroid Pages Archive is presented by the International Aroid Society |

One year in the life of Arisaema taiwanensis. |
 |
The initial idea of this page was to eventually show one year in the life of a single specimen
of A. taiwanensis.
However, lack of time and forgetfulness have
contributed to an early demise of this project. Maybe next year...

The tip of the emerging leaf is very phototropic and will
turn towards the brightest light source. This one was initially located
in the shade under the roof overhang, so
it grew crooked. |
 |
After a week or so, the tip of the spathe emerged from the cataphyll.
The leaflets are still tucked in. Unfortunately a few weeks later, the plant has keeled over and died of a tuber rot, so the concept of this page has been cut short. |
