I have seen it happen to several other species of Amorphophallus and related tuber genera in the Araceae family. In fact I have observed one coloring up when brought into the green house that hasn’t opened yet.

will a konjac flower developing in dark room (windowless cellar) lack anthocyanin and apear more or less "white"?
A member of our German forum just posted picture of such flower....

I asked if the plant was gown in cellar - that was confirmed...
