I was so sad to read this post Julius was the first contact I had when joining the IAS. He led me to a couple more names where I may in the future get some plant exchanges going with.

I agree he was a truly remarkable authority on aroids and has changed my quest in such a short time. he will definitely be missed much more by those who were closer to him

A very sad day for all aroid enthusiasts :-(

I have not been down to Miami in too many years. One of the people I miss the most was Julius. He was always so kind to me and mine. What a fun guy. He lived as I can only hope to live my life.
