I have an Amorphophallus cirrifer that just finished flowering. it seems to be going dormant now. Is this normal for this spp of am?
I refuse to partake in the in the recession.

This is one for the Alocasia experts:
Can anyone tell me the difference, if any, between Alocasia brancifolia and Alocasia nishihiri? Are they simply the same plant with two different names, or two separate, but similar, plants? Or has one name now replaced the other? Please help!
Thank you!

It is, but strangely enough in my collection the dormancy is quite short and
I keep the tuber in the soil, water carefully and usually it pokes up a leaf
a few weeks later.
Cheers,
Wilbert

Okay thank you :-) How long does it usually take to grow full leaf when it does come back to life? Im asking because sometimes I get cold falls early here and Im worried about the possibility of a short growth season. It is a rather large tuber and Id just hate for it to lose size. It is over 30 cm long. As of now it still hasnt sprouted.
Ive attached a couple photos of the inflorescence for those that are curious. This spp has some unusual and interesting hairs on it.
I refuse to participate in the in the recession.
