What is the apporximate timing between the opening of male and female flowers? Can one succesfully self individuals of this species assuming pollen is available at the right time? It appears to be adapted to at least part of this elevation range. The 1600 meter location in Medellin its self might be the most challenging. I have not yet attempted it.
