Alocasia 'Orinoco Gold'
|
From: "Marge Talt" <mtalt at clubhouse-designs.com> on 2004.11.23 at 23:40:13(12407)
Hi All,
Has anybody heard of this cultivar? A friend emailed me, having
acquired a plant under this name and not able to find any information
about it. If it is a valid cultivar, does anybody know anything
about it or its cultural requirements?
Thanks in advance

It is probably the cultivar of Alocasia macrorrhiza 'New Guinea Gold'
seems to be traded under several new names recently .
'Seven Colours' from Thailand is being used for selling it at a higher price with its mid-summer flush of extra colourful foliage !!Michael Pascall,

Has anyone been sending in these wild and
wonderful names to the list of cultivars? See http://www.aroid.org/cultivars/index.html

Thanks, Michael
Interesting about the 'Seven Colors' as my friend said that was the
closest she could find that matched her plants description...so they
are one and the same....hmmmm.
