Aroideana 28

From: "Derek Burch" <derek at horticulturist.com> on 2004.10.22 at 12:02:49(12298)
It is time for the annual editor's call for papers. Deadline for submission
for consideration for Aroideana 28 is January 15, 2005.
Let me repeat the offer to give whatever assistance necessary to potential
authors. I should like to use personal growing/collecting/etc experiences to
broaden the appeal of the issue. I should prefer to receive at least the
first version of a paper electronically (word attachment to email works very
well for me). derek@horticulturist.com is my email address.
The instructions to authors are inside the front cover of each issue, and
are on the IAS website (go to 'Aroideana'). They may look alarming, but
really don't apply to grower's reports, and the professional taxonomists do
these things anyway wherever they are submitting.
Need I say "the sooner I get papers the better"? Derek

Hi Derek
I'm putting together an annotated/illustrated checklist of the aroids of the
Matang Massif (the mountain range that includes Kubah N.P. and the Matang
Family Park) and is of course important as being the type locality of
practically all of Beccari's Sarawak aroids.
Of interest?
Pete

Hi Pete,
It certainly sounds so to me. It will add breadth to the coverage of the
journal, and that is what we are after (I think!)
Regards, Derek

Still some space in Aroideana 28 for those of you who have been intending to
write (New Year's Resolution ...?) BUT the deadline is only two weeks away.
I need text as a word file attachment to email at this point. Pictures can
be discussed later.

Happy New Year, anyway, from your nagging editor, Derek
