Form 587 will allow you to import any non-CITES protected plant from any country....even ones not listed on your original form, and it is good for several years. These will be delivered directly to your door via DHL, for example....no need for extra couriers and expense. I talked to the people at APHIS 3 separate times to make sure it was really this simple. Belive it or not they answer the phone and even return calls!! I know, amazing for a govt. agency, but true...cross my heart :o) I've only imported twice and will place an order soon for another overseas shipment, but it has been absolutely no problem at all on my 2 shipments....one small (50 tubers) and one larger (140 tubers weighing 25 Kg).
