A. titanum bloom?

How does one tell if the new growth on an A. titanum is
a bloom or a leaf? Mine is sending up its new growth and
I think it is big enough to bloom, but how do I tell, or
do I just have to wait until the spathe peeks out?

Hey, My maiden name is Weaver!
I should think the tip of the growth would be green and look like the
formation of leaves starting. When the bloom is coming up, it really looks different
than when it is going to be leaves.
