Aglaonema ID needed

From: Eric_L_._Schmidt/LEU/CYS/Orlando at priv.ci.orlando.fl.us.ci.orlando.fl.us on 2001.11.14 at 23:01:27(7819)
We found an Aglaonema at a local nursery that had no name on it. It is very
ornamental. The upper surfaces of the leaves are green with grayish-silver
markings. The undersides are a maroon color and the petioles are a darker
maroon color.
Anyone have any idea which one this could be? Thanks!

Dear Eric,
It sounds like one of the many beautiful cultivars created by Dr. Brown, so
it may be best to buy a copy of his new book!

Hello Eric.
Your description of the top of the leaves of your plant could indeed be
many, especially the Brown hybrids as Julius says. However, the maroon
reverse, and darker maroon petioles is highly unusual. I haven't seen a
Brown hybrid or any other Aglaonema with that characteristic, unless Frank
in his wizardry has created a new
one I haven't seen. I'm thinking you may have a Homalomena hybrid, some of
which I think have the colors you describe.
By the way, I am in your area, where did you find it??
