Hi,
Just out of curiosity, I looked through my _Genera of Araceae_ to see which Aroid genera occur in Afghanistan. That country seems singularly depauperate: the only genus reaching that part of the map was Arisaema, and that only in the far south. Just one more reason not to go there, Huh?

Arum & thousands of other plant kinds. Maybe if we looked only for natural
unspoiled parts of the Planet with no Mad People, maybe we would avoid
Alexandria, VA too?
