  Colocasia question
From: "Carolyn J. Miller" cmiller at meijergardens.org> on 2001.07.26 at 22:09:10(7138)
Greetings,
Out of curiosity, can Colocasia esculenta fontanesii be grown in water? I
know its a taro, but I wanted to make sure before I decide to submerge some
plants in a fountain. Also, if I submerge these (they're small and would
keep them in a pot), what type of soil mix should I use in the pots? Thank
you for all anwers!

My Colos grow best in muck or rather, very rich, very wet soil/compost.
Anyone got the really black and velvety one? After I moved all my surviving
rhizomes were the purple leaved and stemmed variety.
