Aroid enthusiasts may be interested to know that there will be a workshop
on the Araceae of the Malesian region (the aroid-rich islands between Asia
and Australia) at an international meeting being held in Sydney, Australia
in September this year.
If you are in eastern Australia at that time, you may like to attend for
part or all of the meeting. (Day registrations are accepted).

The Symposium will take place in Sydney from 9-14 September 2001
The Queensland workshops with be based at Atherton, and take place from 4
September 2001 and the pre-conference excursion 5-8 September.

QUEENSLAND WORKSHOPS Interactive Identification systems (1-4 September) -
a training workshop will be held at Atherton in north Queensland,1-4
September. Lauraceae (4 September) also in Atherton.
