For those members of the Interational Aroid Society who have not renewed
your membership for Year 2000, (or Year 1999, or Year 1998) this is a
gentle reminder: It's time to pay your dues!!
It has also come to my attention that many of the folks on this
wonderful list (Aroid-L) are NOT members of IAS! Some 300 of you! Why
not?

The IAS sponspers this wonderful List and the terrific IAS web site, all
at no cost to you, the internet user and subscriber. Most of our
questions are answered by IAS members and many of the seeds and tubers
offered for exchange are from IAS members. For the price of just one
exotic aroid, or even less, you can join and help support the
International Aroid Society.
And what, pray tell, do you get for your membership?
4 Newletters a year (with color pictures!)
1 Journal a year (with color pictures!)
If you will recall past posts, the Newsletters are tremendous and the
Journal is fantastic. They are welcome additions to your Aroid library.
So come on people, dues for Y2K are now due. $25 for US and $30 for
International. And to those who would like to do a little more, above
and beyond, you can sponsor an International membership for an
additional $30.
Please send your check made out to IAS to:

Right on, MJ. The Aroideana's are very good references and sources for
information,
and they are now as good as I've ever seen them in quality and color.
Anyone remotely interested in learning about these wonderful plants should

Sorry, Beny if you keep getting this I'm trying to post to the list. Yes, we
do accept credit cards for membership and publications. (we can't process
debit cards-monies that come out of an account). When you receive your
statement IAS is listed as Palm Hammock Orchid Estate. This is a member who
has made it possible for us to accept charges. Application for membership
and list of back issues are listed on the web site. Please type or print
carefully. Tricia
