Subject: [Aroid-l] Amorphophallus gigas

Does Amorphophallus gigas make offsets? My (presumably) A. gigas has put up multiple sprouts, but I read that this species does not produce offsets.   If no offsets, can a larger tuber be divided to obtain more plants?
