David,
My experience here in NW Arkansas is that D. vulgaris comes up in
mid-February most years, which is far earlier than I originally
expected, and doesn't suffer any leaf damage above 20-22 F. The
leaves do wilt in hard freezes but quickly recover when it warms up.

During the up and down temperatures, normal for this season
in Fort Worth, one of my Dracunculis vulgaris has sprouted.
Tonight it is supposed to get below freezing again, which is
no problem for my Arums (as long as it stays above 20 degrees
F), but is this a problem for D. vulgaris???
Appreciate hearing of any experiences with this.
