My apologies - I was not familiar with this Philodendron at the more mature stage - I was thinking that the leaf looked more like Anthurium waroqueanum, though that's from older recollections.

The first one is Alocasia 'Polly', the 2nd is Philodendron melanochrysum.

Ph. verrucosum looks so (note the underside of the leaves)

I am a writer specialized in chocolate and keen on plants. I make an incursion in the flowers the most illustrated in meso-american iconography and I am trying to identify the philodendron of codex badianus. Is it a saggitifolium (alias sanguineum) despite her leaves are indented or a melanochrysum but the inflorescence is not red ?
