Anthurium question
Hello Don,

This is something similar like once in my Zantedeschia elliotiana.
In all the complexity of aroid inflorescences, sometimes they seem to revert to simpler, more "flowerish" forms.
They may exhibit modified leaves under the separate flowers.
It may be caused by mutagens or chemical treatment.

Subject: [Aroid-l] Anthurium question

What=92s going on here (see attachment =96 red arrows)?

This is an inflorescence of Anthurium halmoorei.  The male (with pollen) and female flowers are clearly visible.  But what are those structures (indicated by the red arrows) at the boundary between the two types of flowers?  I=92ve never observed anything like them before, and =93normal=94 fruits of this plant typically take nearly a year to mature.  I can=92t tell whether these are =93new=94 plants or simply some sort of errant bract structure.

Suggestions welcomed.
