35
Dear Derek,
I have a four-pages (typed in world) article for Aroideana 35, but I
will be back to the office at wednesday and can send from there (I forgot the
file). Is it still possible to send?

Hi Aroiders,
Can I hope that
everyone will now be able to move on anything that might be planned for
submission to Aroideana? This month will race by, as you well know, but I am not
going to go through the stress of late papers any more, so Jan 1st is not just
a target date, but an almost deadline. If you are in contact with any potential
authors on other matters, please slip them the word that the editor is
perfectly willing to go to press with a 25-page volume, if that is all that is
to hand.
I am very anxious
to continue our mix of scientific and “horticultural” papers, and got several
promises from intending authors at the meeting in Miami.
Now is the time !!

Hi
there I have read the submissions on this topic with interest. There is I feel
a need for the IAS to get more widely known, I know through other groups I'm
with loads of people who are interested in aroids.
The
difference with the IAS and these other groups is that the IAS has a page on
facebook, these other groups have just that - a group on facebook. I'm sure if
the IAS set up a group on facebook, a thing I have recomeneded on the facebook
page, then more members would come forward that way. Groups stay on any
members' home page, whereas a submission to the IAS page newsfeed is quickly
pushed down the page by other facebook friend and news updates.
I
hope this could be a way forward to increasing membership numbers/subscription
revenues
