These will often lose the growing point and can take a long time to grow a new one .
I doubt if they would grow to 10' in the bright light they like . Biggest I have ever seen was 6' or 2m .
fyi they can be propagated by root cuttings if you cannot wait for them to mature and set seed .

Jude=2C I'm surprised to hear that your Anchomanes has been dormant for a year. =3B Have you checked on the tuber? =3B Mine don't generally have a well defined dormancy and grow pretty much year-round if conditions are favorable.
