It doesn't look like any of the bulbous Aroids to me...

Hello,
=0A

=0A
I've got an ID request, the person asks if =0Ait may be an aroid.
=0A
In this phase and condition it seems to be =0Aimpossible what plant it is.
=0A
=0A
Plants of the Araceae produce roots just below the =0Aleaf bud.
=0A
This one has no roots at all, it can be the top of =0Aan aroid tuber,
=0A
but it can also belong to any bulbous plants =0Alike Tulipa or Hyacinthus
=0A
What do you think?

Dear helpful person from the Aroid Identification =0ACenter,

=0A

I am writing to you with a rather unusual =0Arequest.

=0A

We received some images from a plant (presumable a Araceae) =0Athat was found by customs at the New Zealand border.

=0A

The plant was in a rather bad (rotten) stage and I can't =0Aidentify it.

=0A

I thought you might be able to help and could at least =0Aconfirm that the object in the picture is indeed a corm of a Araceae. Maybe =0ADracunculus?

=0A

The plant arrived from the UK. This all I =0Aknow.

=0A

=0A

I am grateful for any comment

=0A

best wishes

=0A
