at Berkeley Sunday afternoon. It was great fun and
year. Photos of=A0the event (thanks to Albert Huntington)
A few people have asked=A0me=A0this question, so in an
effort to clarify: =A0Of course, we're absolutely happy to
include=A0all who=A0wish on=A0our=A0mailing list! =A0But please
know=A0our underlying goal here is=A0simply to gather
people=A0from around our region (or anyone wishing
to attend, for that matter) who either have or should
have an interest in=A0aroids,=A0and to orchestrate=A0getting
them all together=A0a=A0few times/ year.
In order to keep things sustainable and realistic,=A0this
group will almost certainly be more informal than not.
Which is to say we=A0currently have no plans to collect
dues or publish our own=A0newsletter or any such thing
and, as it stands,=A0our mailing list will be a one-way
(non-forum)=A0channel used for=A0announcing=A0when and
where=A0the next=A0gatherings will be, etc.
If anything, I'm personally hoping our efforts will only
add to the subscribers and posts on this great forum
as well as helping grow both the membership of, and=A0
contributions=A0of knowledge=A0to, the IAS.
