Dear Jeremy=2C
When this striking plant first made it`s appearance on the aroid scene here in S. Florida=2C I was told that it was an aberant form of Alocasia macrorrhiza=2C I THINK it was first seen in Thailand or somewhere in that region. I HOPE this helps=2C and that others will chime in if they have different or additional information.
Good Growing in that rainy place! :--)

Hi Listers=2C
I seem to recall that late last year there was a reference to Alocasia 'Stingray' (see image here: http://www.centralfloridafarms.com/alocasia-stingray.htm [nb: not my image or website] )=2C but I can't find anything in the archive search. Someone may be able to answer my query anyway=2C and that is does anyone know what species this is considered to be a form of?
With thanks in anticipation=2C
Jeremy RBG Melbourne=2C Australia (which has had 2mm of rain since Christmas=2C 3 consecutive days over 45C in Feb=2C and 1 record buster at 47C)
