Dear All=2C
Between what Steve Lucas has suggested=2C then the great information which Jason provides (below)=2C I THINK we have covered about as many bases we can concerning locating good information on aroids (and eliminating using Wikipedia). =3B Jason does bring up a good point--- where do we find information on some of the more obscure genera on which there are limited or NO publications!?!  =3B Allow me to say that this forum (aroid-l) then provides an INVALUABLE service=2C as it has contact with MOST of the world experts on aroids or has a member who reads this forum=2C who can usually contact the person who has the knowledg. =3B Most times when a request has been submitted=2C there has been SOMEONE who reads the request and is able to eventually supply the information being sought!
The Best=2C and Good Growing.

These will take you to peer-reviewed >=3B articles. JSTOR is especially useful=2C because every article >=3B it references is scanned in its entirety in the database -- >=3B you can read it righ on your monitor. >=3B >=3B Of course=2C this necessitates that something BE published on >=3B the taxon in question. For some obscure taxa=2C there is >=3B nothing out there. Another drawback to JSTOR is that is you >=3B search the full-text of the articles=2C you may get articles >=3B in which your search term appears only in the "works cited=2C" >=3B as part of the title of another article you probably already >=3B read. >=3B >=3B Jason Hernandez >=3B Naturalist-at-Large >=3B >=3B >=3B Message: 1 >=3B >=3B Date: Sat=2C 31 Jan 2009 23:37:45 -0800 (PST) >=3B >=3B From: "E.Vincent Morano" <=3Bironious2@yahoo.com>=3B >=3B >=3B Subject: Re: [Aroid-l] Wikipedia`s falsehoods >=3B >=3B To: Discussion of aroids <=3Baroid-l@gizmoworks.com>=3B >=3B >=3B Message-ID: <=3B547443.98273.qm@web63403.mail.re1.yahoo.com>=3B >=3B >=3B Content-Type: text/plain=3B charset=3D"iso-8859-1" >=3B >=3B >=3B >=3B any idea's on where to find an unbiased source? >=3B >=3B >=3B >=3B --- On Sat=2C 1/31/09=2C ju-bo@msn.com <=3Bju-bo@msn.com>=3B wrote: >=3B >=3B _______________________________________________ >=3B Aroid-L mailing list >=3B Aroid-L@www.gizmoworks.com >=3B http://www.gizmoworks.com/mailman/listinfo/aroid-l --_ce26164b-4ef8-4db0-a7ee-759e3855cb53_----===============4261370617506130804==
