Hello! What species do you have? I haveS. sagittifolia, which can go dormant on occasion. I have grown this plant for fouryears, and there seems to be no pattern to its dormancy, which lasts a month orless. The plant does need high humidity, but also needs moving air, likeorchids. Without the air movement, you will lose leaves and can get some rot, which can kill the tuber. This species also likes to bekept in the shade, with only indirect light, which yields nice green leaves andlots of blooms. In brighter light the leaves become pale and sickly white oryellow. I hope this helps, Christopher D. I have it growing in a wet terrarium, at first I thought maybe it was too wet, but then it grew and flowered a few times. Then it lost all its leaves, but the corm/tuber is still nice and hard and green and has lots of healthy white roots. Any ideas why it would stop producing leaves? Conditions in the tank have not changed. --- On Sat, 9/20/08, aroid-l-request@gizmoworks.com <aroid-l-request@gizmoworks.com> wrote: From: aroid-l-request@gizmoworks.com <aroid-l-request@gizmoworks.com> Subject: Aroid-L Digest, Vol 50, Issue 35 To: aroid-l@gizmoworks.com Date: Saturday, September 20, 2008, 1:00 PM Send Aroid-L mailing list submissions to =A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 aroid-l@www.gizmoworks.com To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit =A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 http://www.gizmoworks.com/mailman/listinfo/aroid-l or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to =A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 aroid-l-request@www.gizmoworks.com You can reach the person managing the list at =A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 aroid-l-owner@www.gizmoworks.com When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of Aroid-L digest..."
