I am currently working at the Montreal Botanical Garden (Canada). I am also Adjunct Professor at the University of Montreal (Canada) and the University of Prince Edward Island (Canada). My research focuses mainly on the study of floral biology (development, thermogenic cycles and pollination mechanisms) and evolution (developmental morphology in the framework of phylogeny) in the Araceae family. I also did some researches on molecular systematics at the family level. I use to go in French Guiana once a year to collect material and study different aspects of Aroid biology. Presently, I am writing a book, in collaboration with Marc Gibernau, synthesizing our scientific works related to Aroid biology that we have been doing for ten years in French Guiana.
